The Cards played host to an AFC East team for a second-consecutive Sunday in the first-place Buffalo Bills. And this time around, it was the home team with the late heroics as Kliff Kingsbury’s team rallied from a 23-9 third-quarter hole to eventually steal the game. A total of 17 straight points put the Cards in front but Buffalo would re-gain the lead with 34 seconds to play. But Kyler Murray’s 43-yard prayer was answered by a leaping DeAndre Hopkins.

John Harbaugh’s club was on the road for the second straight week as they took on the Patriots in prime time. The Baltimore defense was burned for 173 yards on the ground. Quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for 249 yards and two scores (1 interception) and ran for 55 yards. The Ravens won the time of possession battle (32:34) but also had their issues with penalties. The reigning AFC North champions fell three games behind the first-place Steelers.

Winners of their last four games, Brian Flores’ club returned to South Florida and hosted the snake-bitten Chargers in a battle of rookie quarterbacks. Neither Justin Herbert (187) nor Tua Tagovailoa (169) threw for at least 200 yards but both served up a pair of scores. Miami’s running game managed just 111 yards, 85 of that and one TD by Salvon Ahmed – but the Dolphins’ defense limited the Bolts to 99 yards on the ground and sacked Herbert twice.
