In an adorable Instagram post, Drew Brees let Saints fans know he’s doing just fine and will come back stronger than ever.

New Orleans Saints fans everywhere went into panic mode when it was reported Drew Brees will miss multiple weeks due to fractured ribs and a collapsed lung. For the veteran signal-caller, this newest serious injury is the last thing he or the Saints needed right now as they look to capture the NFC South crown over Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.

While Brees will be out for the near future, don’t think for a second he’s down in the dumps over his injury and won’t work overtime to get back on the field with his teammates. Brees made that much clear on Instagram, sending a special message to fans about his recovery.

Drew Brees will surely do everything in his power to get back on the field as soon as possible

Not only did Brees let Saints nation he’s doing fine, but he also did so in the most adorable way possible. His kids probably love having their dad back home more often, but even they are likely looking forward to him getting back to full health so they can watch him toss more touchdowns on Sundays.

As things stand, New Orleans is in first place of the division standings with a 7-2 record, but the Bucs are right behind them at 7-3. With Brees sidelined, Jameis Winston will now take over the offense. While Winston has plenty of experience, there’s quite the drop off between him and Brees, opening the door for Tampa Bay to potentially retake the division lead.

Because of this, Sean Payton and the rest of the New Orleans coaches will hope for Brees to get back on the field after missing 2-3 weeks in a best-case world. We’ll see how long he’s out, but the sooner Brees is back under center, the better.
