Ryan Day is loving his job at Ohio State and it is easy to see why.

Ryan Day landed in quite the amazing situation at Ohio State. He joined the Buckeyes program in 2017 after spending two years in the NFL working as a quarterbacks coach.

Day then became the permanent head coach at Ohio State in 2019 and proceeded to go 13-1. He is only 41 years old and is making over $5 million this year. The head coach made a comment recently that proves he is loving life, which also pre-emptively dispels any notions of Day jumping to the NFL.

Ryan Day isn’t interested in any other job than coaching Ohio State football

Day took over for Urban Meyer permanently in 2019 and there was no severe drop-off in talent or production. The program has continued to win under Day and there is no reason why he would ever want to leave. Ohio State is one of the top jobs in the country and it is tough to imagine him using this as a launching point if he is competing for and winning national championships in Columbus.

As Day mentions, life in college football is much different than in the NFL. He is getting paid more and one bad season is not going to get him fired. Instead, he is truly building a program that is meant to last for decades.

The Buckeyes are 3-0 this season and ranked No. 3 in the nation. The team did just have a game canceled, but finishing undefeated with the given schedule should ensure a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Day has been an advocate for playing in 2020 and has kept his team focused throughout all the stopping and starting this season. He also only has one career loss as a head coach and is a hero in Columbus.

We are all jealous of his job and it is clear to see why he is so happy.
