player. 123. . Linebacker. Dallas Cowboys. Micah Parsons. 4

The Dallas Cowboys have been atrocious this season, and even in an NFC East division that will likely have a team with a losing record win it, they cannot get moving in the right direction. Of course, they did lose starting quarterback Dak Prescott and his backup Andy Dalton already, but it was not like they were winning games with either of them under center either.

Looking ahead, changes are coming in Dallas, but with a No. 4 overall pick, they can bring in a cornerstone player for their defense. Penn State’s Micah Parsons is the best overall defensive player in this draft class, and with the Cowboys, he instantly becomes a guy they build the defense around.

Penei Sewell. 5. player. 13. . Offensive Tackle. Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers lost a tough one to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, but the franchise as a whole is trending in the right direction. They have found their franchise quarterback, something that is a tough thing to do, and now they just have to find a way to get the right pieces around him.

They can accelerate that by selecting Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. This is the best offensive lineman in this draft class and someone who can protect Justin Herbert’s blindside for years to come.

Miami Dolphins. Jaylen Waddle. 6. player. 59. . Wide Receiver

The Miami Dolphins are suddenly one of the better teams in the AFC, this after turning the franchise over to rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Since taking over under center, Tua has won three straight starts, and Miami is not only in the mix for a Wild Card but also in the mix for a division title.

So why are they picking No 6 overall? That is because they swung a deal with the Houston Texans for their first round pick, and with the selection, they get Tua a weapon in the passing game. Former Alabama teammate Jaylen Waddle will be one of the first wideouts off the board, and he would be a solid fit on a young Dolphins offense that should be good for a very long time.
