Proud Michigan alum Rich Eisen would rather watch Schitt’s Creek than enduring more rough football from his alma mater.

Schitt’s Creek is the preferred viewing option for Rich Eisen over watching Michigan football.

It happens. Sometimes your beloved alma mater can’t get it done on the gridiron. Eisen is a proud Michigan alum and has been an institution at The NFL Network for years. He may have to watch bad football for a living on top of being a fan of the New York Jets, but when it is your alma mater, you can totally give up and watch a good television show like Schitt’s Creek. He can’t be the only one who did this on Saturday night.

Schitt’s Creek is infinitely better than watching Michigan lose to Rutgers

That might be the worst part of it all. Michigan is seen as a college football blue-blood and one of the better teams in the Big Ten East. Though Greg Schiano is doing a fine job in his first year back with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, this is a game any halfway decent Michigan team finds a way to win. There is next to no chance Jim Harbaugh will return to Ann Arbor for a seventh year.

The NFL will be in full force on Sunday, so Eisen has a busy day ahead of him. Being able to watch your favorite college team play in primetime is usually a cool thing. It is only made worse when the team is actually not great. Michigan may be the second-worst team in the Big Ten East ahead of only the winless Penn State Nittany Lions who are 0-5. Yes, Schitt’s Creek is the better choice for sure.

We have all been there from time to time, so hopefully, Schitt’s Creek provides Eisen some relief.
