Auburn quarterback Bo Nix took advantage of Tennessee’s lackadaisical defense for an easy touchdown on Saturday.

If you wanted to see which team was prepared for Saturday, the easy answer was the Auburn Tigers. Meanwhile, it appeared as through their opponents, the Tennessee Volunteers, had a bad night of sleep, because they were caught snoozing on the field.

During Saturday’s contest between these SEC squads, Auburn quarterback Bo Nix hit a wide, wide open Anthony Schwartz on a 54-yard touchdown pass. If you look at the video, you can see that the wide receiver had a five-yard gap on the closest defensive back on Tennessee.

Tennessee knows Bo now

This scoring play was a bit of vengeance for Nix. Earlier in the game, the Tigers were down 7-0 to the Volunteers. After taking Auburn into the red zone, Nix threw an interception to Tennessee cornerback Bryce Thompson in the end zone. Tennessee would immediately capitalize eight plays later with a 47-yard field goal by Brent Cimaglia to put them up 10-0.

Nix got the last laugh, as this touchdown paired with a 25-yard field goal by Anders Carson to tie things up at 10 points apiece at halftime. Let it be known that if you lapse on defense, Bo Nix will strike and make you pay for it.
