Fans reacted on Twitter once the Cowboys clinched a surprising victory over the Vikings.

The Dallas Cowboys improved to 3-7 with a victory Sunday and are now right in the thick of the NFC East race. That is 2020 in a nutshell.

Andy Dalton made his return and threw for three touchdowns, while Ezekiel Elliott got back to his old ways with 103 yards on the ground. Fans on Twitter were finally able to share some excitement after four straight losses.

The Cowboys would have been set up for a high draft pick with a loss. That remains true with the win, but fans still want to celebrate.

Dallas doesn’t get too much time to bask in the victory as they are back on Thanksgiving in what has become an important matchup against Washington. Both teams enter at 3-7 and the winner will jump into the top spot in the division.

The Cowboys appear to at least be competent with Andy Dalton at quarterback. Even Garrett Gilbert nearly took down the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers so perhaps fans did see the true NFC East favorite in the win on the road in Minnesota.

The NFC East is an absolute disaster and it is possible a team with five or six wins hosts a home playoff game. Fans in Dallas are now divided between tanking and winning the division, so Twitter should be a fun place to see the battle in real-time.
