After Joe Burrow’s injury, several of his former Ohio State football teammates on the Washington Football Team comforted their fallen brother.

The season-ending knee injury to Joe Burrow was something no one wanted to see on the football field on Sunday afternoon. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner and No. 1 pick of the Cincinnati Bengals was having a fantastic rookie season but will be out for the remainder of the year after tearing his ACL and MCL. The hope is Burrow will be able to make a full recovery and be back in time for the season-opener in 2021.

While the Burrow injury cast a black cloud over the NFL Sunday, one of the things that was heart-warming to see was his former Ohio State teammates come to his side and offer their support and well-wishes.

The Ohio State brotherhood is strong in the wake of the Joe Burrow injury

As Burrow was waiting to be carted off the field, Chase Young, Terry McLaurin and Dwayne Haskins who were his teammates with the Buckeyes came to his aid to show that the Ohio State football brotherhood is for life.

Burrow graduated from Ohio State before transferring to LSU for his final two seasons. Even though he left Ohio State after Haskins won the quarterback job in a heated competition that may have been different if Burrow was healthy, he’s never forgotten about what being a Buckeye meant to him and his family.

The Athens, Ohio native got to live out his dream of playing for his childhood favorite team. It didn’t end the way he wanted, but Ohio State football fans still claim him as one of their own. That was on display with the Buckeye trio showing their love and compassion for the injured Burrow.

We all wish Burrow the best in his long recovery and can’t wait to see him back on the football field next year.
