Fantasy football: FanDuel NFL 2020 best lineup for Week 12
By Nick Villano
Defense: New York Giants $4,300
There are a lot of really bad offenses in the NFL right now. The most expensive choice this week is the Miami Dolphins, who take on the putrid New York Jets.
However, there isn’t a shortage of options. The really bad Jaguars offense with who knows who at quarterback. There is a Broncos offense that is still trying to make Drew Lock happen. The Carolina Panthers offense is still a question mark without Teddy Bridgewater and Christian McCaffrey.
Nothing is as intriguing for the price as the Giants taking on Ryan Finley and the Bengals. The receivers are so good in Cincinnati that the team has to throw a lot. That will give the Giants bad secondary many chances to catch a duck. The reason the Giants find themselves at this price point is the talent level. However, the offense is so bad, it’s worth saving $700 from the Dolphins.
The Giants have eight interceptions and seven recovered fumbles. It’s not exactly a ball-hawking defense, but it’s also not an embarrassment that it looked like coming into the year. They give up a decent amount of points, but the defense was only negative in fantasy once this year. That was back in September.
Now, the Giants defense can put some pressure on (multiple sacks in every single game) and cause Finley to make mistakes.
Other Options: Dolphins $5,000, Browns $4,900
