Week 13 of the 2020 college football season is upon us as the season winds down.

The 2020 college football season enters the final weekend of November.

With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up on Thursday, we will have plenty of rivalry games taking place across the Power 5 conferences. Though not every one will be played at this time, we still have games like the Iron Bowl and what used to be known as the Civil War to look forward to. Here is the schedule for all the top 25 teams in the country playing this weekend and if they will win.

  • No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs (5-2) at South Carolina Gamecocks (2-6)

Although I am not projecting any upsets this week, there are several games where upset bids could be had. On Friday, the two games to keep an eye on for this are the No. 13 Iowa State Cyclones at the No. 17 Texas Longhorns and the No. 2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at the No. 19 North Carolina Tar Heels. Iowa State is more likely to fall than Notre Dame, but both can happen.

In the early-afternoon window on Saturday, there two to pay close attention to are the Maryland Terrapins at the No. 12 Indiana Hoosiers and the Texas Tech Red Raiders at the No. 23 Oklahoma State Cowboys. Though either upset feels likely, Maryland is better than we expected and Oklahoma State may not be as good as what its top-25 ranking truly indicates.

For the mid-afternoon games, the two games where upsets could happen are in the Iron Bowl between the No. 22 Auburn Tigers and the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide, as well as the Colorado Buffaloes at the No. 18 USC Trojans. Anything can happen in the Iron Bowl, so that is why Auburn has a chance. As for USC, Colorado could be the one to hand the flukey Trojans their first loss.

Now for the night slate. To be honest, both favored teams could potentially slip up. It is a rivalry game between the LSU Tigers and the No. 5 Texas A&M Aggies. Williams-Brice Stadium is always a tough place to play, so the No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs could fall to the South Carolina Gamecocks. As with any SEC game for that matter, you must factor in the rivalry component to games like these.

Someone will be upset on Thanksgiving weekend, as it happens in college football every year.
