With some NFL Thanksgiving action on the way, the Lions and Texans will get Week 12 going with a fun showdown.

It wouldn’t be a proper Thanksgiving without some NFL action being played for fans across the world to enjoy. Such is the case on Thursday, with the Detroit Lions and Houston Texans all set to face off.

The season surely hasn’t gone according to plan for the two sides, as Detroit is 4-6 on the season and Houston holds a 3-7 mark. Come Week 12, Deshaun Watson will look to come out on top of the quarterback battle with Matthew Stafford. Which signal-caller will power his team to victory?

What to watch for in Lions vs. Texans in Week 12

Houston is coming off a surprising upset win over New England last Sunday, taking down Cam Newton and the Pats 27-20. In that victory, Watson looked outstanding, throwing for 344 yards and two touchdowns. He wasn’t done there, as he added 36 rushing yards and an additional score.

The Texans are still without David Johnson, which means the No. 1 running back for the team will still be Duke Johnson, who was held to 15 yards on 10 carries against the Pats.

As for the Lions, they were roughed up in Week 11, suffering a 20-0 loss to the Panthers. Even without Teddy Bridgewater and Christian McCaffrey, Carolina took down Detroit with ease. The offense will need to bounce back in a big way if they want to beat Houston on Thursday.
