Michigan football is scraping along at rock bottom at this point under Jim Harbaugh.

Deny it all you want, but Michigan football has hit rock bottom under head coach Jim Harbaugh.

With the Michigan Wolverines falling to 2-4 on the season, there is next to nothing positive you can say about their 2020 campaign. This was a year Michigan was expected to contend for a Big Ten Championship. Instead, the Wolverines are trying to avoid a last-place finish in the Big Ten East after falling to winless Penn State. If you want proof that this is unequivocally rock bottom, check out this mind-blowing stat.

When you’ve played as long as Michigan football and you’re able to accomplish these sorts of dreadful feats such as losing to an 0-5 team for the first time ever, that loud sound you heard was the Wolverines hitting rock bottom.

This was the worst team Michigan has lost to in 1,350 ball games to date

While the Penn State Nittany Lions are arguably better than the disastrous 0-5 start they endured, you are what your record says you are. By falling at home to winless Penn State by 10 points, this was statistically the worst team the Wolverines have ever succumbed to defeat in the history of Michigan football. This is a program with a proud history, doing something shameful.

There is next to no chance that Harbaugh survives the end of this atrocious 2020 season.
