Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry was mum on the rumors of rapper Drake tearing his ACL while guarding him.

The 2020-21 NBA season is a matter of weeks away, and all eyes will be on the Golden State Warriors, who are looking to reclaim the top spot in the Western Conference. Those chances took a hit with Klay Thompson’s torn Achilles suffered on the day of the NBA Draft, but they will have a healthy Stephen Curry available for the season opener.

Curry gave an insightful interview with Complex on Monday following the announcement of the Curry Brand, backed by sports apparel company Under Armour, which launches on Dec. 1. One of the many topics brought up was whether the rumors were true about rapper Drake tearing his ACL while trying to guard him in Toronto. Curry laughed at it, before hinting that Drake himself might provide the answer in the form of a lyric in his new album.

Stephen Curry is not giving any answers

It’s a brilliant move for Curry that only helps Drake. If you really want the answer, then go buy his newest album to find out. That’s Marketing 101, folks.

The two got into a bit of a rivalry in 2019 after Curry’s Warriors faced off against Drake’s Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals. Drake, known to get in the opponent’s heads while giving shoulder rubs to head coach Nick Nurse, trolled Stephen by wearing a throwback Raptors jersey of his father, Dell Curry. Curry didn’t get the last laugh that series, as the Warriors fell to the Raptors in six games.

Curry is coming off a five-game 2019-20 campaign after breaking his finger, which played a role in the Warriors missing the playoffs. With new additions in Kelly Oubre Jr. and second-overall pick James Wiseman, the Warriors are looking to put behind their down year and return to their postseason glory.
