The Philadelphia Eagles had themselves a strugglefest offensively in the first half.

Things are not going well for the Philadelphia Eagles these days, especially on offense.

While the Birds scored a touchdown in the final seconds of the first half, it was another rough showing for Carson Wentz and the rest of the Eagles offense. Prior to their 15-play, 75-yard drive that resulted in a score, the Eagles were boasting an embarrassing yards per play average. For a hot minute there, the Eagles were averaging an unthinkable 9.6 inches per play offensively. What?

For some reason, people are convinced this team can host an NFC playoff game

Seven wins will give one of four NFC East teams a division title banner and a home playoff game. Frankly, six wins might be enough to win this embarrassment of a division. At 3-6-1 through 10 games, the Eagles were in first place heading into the week. With the New York Giants and the Washington Football Team both getting win No. 4 this weekend, Philadelphia needs to keep pace.

Whether it is Wentz taking bad sack after bad sack or his backup Jalen Hurts wearing the wrong helmet and forcing head coach Doug Pederson to burn a timeout, it has officially hit the fan in the City of Brotherly Love. If there were fans in attendance at Lincoln Financial Field tonight, it would be raining AA batteries with enough animus to ruthlessly boo Santa Claus imposters.

Not even averaging a yard per play is a great way to get everybody on a team fired by Christmas.
