The Las Vegas Raiders are breathing a sigh of relief after getting encouraging news on the health of Josh Jacobs after he sustained an ankle injury vs. the Atlanta Falcons.

Josh Jacobs could be back for the Las Vegas Raiders as early as Sunday afternoon in Week 13.

In the Silver and Black’s embarrassing road loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Jacobs only had 10 touches and a fumble before exiting the game with an ankle injury. While his injury looked worse on the field, it was revealed to only be a sprain. This means there is a good chance Jacobs will be back out there for the Raiders when they take on the winless New York Jets on Sunday. They will need him.

This is fantastic news for the Raiders offense, as well as your fantasy team

The Raiders could not do much of anything once Jacobs exited the game vs. Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. Maybe Las Vegas was playing down to the level of its competition or maybe the Atlanta defense gave them fits all day? Either way, the Raiders will want to put two losses firmly in the rearview mirror when they face the awful Jets at MetLife in Week 13. Jacobs has to be out there.

Though Derek Carr is the team’s Pro Bowl quarterback, Jacobs is the straw that stirs the drink for the Raiders offensively. Their identity on that side of the ball is through a power running game, one prominently featuring Jacobs. With playoff dreams still on the line, the Raiders will want to get a W in the worst way possible to avoid further embarrassment for the Jets. Having Jacobs helps.

Expect Jacobs to try to play for the Raiders on Sunday afternoon, eagerly hoping to get a victory.
