Below are five potential breakout stars for fantasy football Week 13.

This topic has been laid out in this article a few times. With playoffs so close, it begs to be broken down again.

In most league formats, you are probably entering either your last, or one of your last, regular season fantasy football games. Some leagues will begin playoffs around Week 14 or 15, so the clock has just about struck midnight on your 2020 campaign.

If you have a spot locked up, you can cruise through Week 13 no problem. Although, there are general managers on the outside looking in and in need of a big win.

The bye week is tough this week. There are only two clubs off, but one of those teams is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Of course, this means many highly-rostered players are not available such as Tom Brady, Ronald Jones, Leonard Fournette, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, and Rob Gronkowski.

On the other side, the Carolina Panthers will also be off this week. This takes away some other solid players like Robby Anderson, Mike Davis, and D.J. Moore.

With so many receivers out, this group leans heavy towards that position. Let’s see who is on the list for Week 13.

Last year the Baltimore Ravens owned the most potent offense in football with the league MVP, Lamar Jackson, under center. This year, the team’s offense has struggled much more than the unit did in 2019. Now, the team is dealing with COVID implications.

More concerning, Jackson has appeared to regress after such a fantastic year last campaign. Specifically, as a consistent passer.

Why add Willie Snead in an offense that is run-first and facing challenges scoring with a quarterback who has not been able to consistently push the ball downfield in the air? Valid question, but here is the answer to why the veteran receiver should be looked into.

In the team’s offense, most of the throws go underneath, in between the numbers. But, some of those throws that do go outside of the numbers usually tend to go Snead‘s way. This is a dynamic the offense needs to develop, and one that has led to more production recently for Snead.

Snead hauled in five catches for 64 yards and two scores in Week 10. In Week 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he had his best yardage game of the season with five grabs on seven targets for 106 yards.

This week, the Ravens play the Dallas Cowboys. This defense has surrendered 19 receiving scores to opposing wideouts this year.
