Week 14 of the 2020 college football season means we will see some ball in December.

The 2020 college football season is winding down, as we enter Week 14.

Only a handful of teams have any shot of making the College Football Playoff this year. While conferences like the ACC and the SEC are in great shape to get at least one team in, possibly two, conferences like the Big Ten and the Pac-12 have only a sliver of hope of getting any one in. The Big 12 is out of it and it does not feel like a Group of 5 will be getting in this holiday season.

While I am not predicting an upset in the early-afternoon window on Saturday, there are two games worth keeping an eye one. With this one being at home, perhaps the Auburn Tigers can ruin the No. 5 Texas A&M Aggies’ quest to make the College Football Playoff? There is also a chance the TCU Horned Frogs hand the No. 15 Oklahoma State Cowboys an unexpected loss on Saturday.

I am predicted one lower-ranked team to win in the mid-afternoon window. Since this one is at Camp Randall, I am taking the No. 16 Wisconsin Badgers to knock off the No. 12 Indiana Hoosiers. If you are looking for a potential letdown special, keep an eye on the West Virginia Mountaineers to ruin the No. 9 Iowa State Cyclones’ bid at getting to the Big 12 Championship game.

The night games do not really give us much of selection to pick a potential upset out of. If you had to pick one, maybe the California Golden Bears get their first win of the season over the No. 23 Oregon Ducks, who lost last Friday to the in-state rival Oregon State Beavers. Maybe the Ducks are not nearly as good as we anticipated? Look for this window to be pure chalk in Week 14.

What games will you be watching in Week 14 of the college football slate?
