NFL Week 13 2020: Picks and predictions for each game
Most important game on the Week 13 docket. The Cardinals would be riding a four-game losing skid without Hail Murray. Meanwhile, the Rams are coming off a hideous, last-second loss to the 49ers. Who bounces back? The Rams, who have the better defense and more experienced roster.
Pick: Los Angeles 31, Arizona 30
No chance the Giants win this game. Colt McCoy (or a hobbled Daniel Jones) isn’t going into Seattle and beating Russell Wilson. Frankly, it would be surprising if the Seahawks need more than one half to pull away and essentially notch their ninth win.
Pick: Seattle 34, New York 14
Justin Herbert against Bill Belichick is going to be a great watch. The Patriots have bee awful defensively, but Belichick usually has something for young quarterbacks, ranging from Kyler Murray to Patrick Mahomes. Still, New England has been anemic much of the year, and a few Cam Newton turnovers could be the difference.
Pick: Los Angeles 28, New England 22
Aaron Rodgers is the only real competition for Patrick Mahomes in the MVP race, and the Eagles are trotting out the worst starting quarterback in football. This is going to get ugly.
Pick: Green Bay 29, Philadelphia 16
Speaking of Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs host the Broncos on SNF this weekend. Kansas City rolled Denver 43-16 in their first meeting on the backs of two non-offensive scores. Here’s guessing the result is the same, with Mahomes continuing his torrid pace of 399.5 passing yards per game over the past month.
Pick: Kansas City 30, Denver 14
This has the smell of a tight game. Pittsburgh is being forced to play on short rest, while Washington has a good defense, smart coach and terrific coach. Is that enough to pull the upset? Maybe, maybe not, but it should be intriguing.
Pick: Pittsburgh 24, Washington 20
This is a really underrated game. The 49ers are riddled with injuries and yet in the playoff race because Kyle Shanahan is a great catch. As for Buffalo, the Bills are closing in on their first division title in 25 years behind an electric offense. Should be a close one.
Pick: Buffalo 26, San Francisco 24
Pick: Baltimore 32, Dallas 15
No reason to pick the Cowboys, even with Baltimore on a short week, Dallas on almost two weeks’ rest and the Ravens dealing with COVID challenges. Andy Dalton and Mike McCarthy aren’t beating anybody these days.
Last Week: 11-4
Season: 108-52-1
