Auburn football fans call for Hugh Freeze to replace Gus Malzahn
Auburn football fans have seen enough of Gus Malzahn and want him fired and Hugh Freeze hired.
After losing to Texas A&M on Saturday and falling to 5-4 on the season, Auburn football fans are calling for Gus Malzahn to be fired.
This is an annual tradition, heck, weekly tradition, on The Plains where Malzahn has perpetually has taken a seat on the hottest of seats. Despite a $21 million buyout and athletic revenues bleeding money amidst the pandemic, the results on the field speak loudest. Well, outside of the fans shouting on Twitter for Auburn to pony up the buyout and get Malzahn out, and bring in Liberty coach and former Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze.

One Auburn football fan is already gearing up for a run at Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell who has his Bearcats undefeated.
While another is ready to bring back Freeze to the SEC where he enjoyed great success with the Rebels, including a pair of wins over Alabama, which is a good sign for any prospective Auburn head coach.
And the hottest name on the coaching market could be Iowa State’s Matt Campbell after his rebuilding job with the Cyclones who are on track to play in the Big 12 Championship Game. Could Auburn lure Campbell to the SEC? This fan hopes so.
If Auburn loses to Mississippi State in their season finale, that could be curtains on Malzahn’s time with Auburn.
