Alvin Kamara only need one emoji to express his feelings about the New Orleans Saints’ sweep over the Atlanta Falcons.

After 13 weeks, an NFC team has finally clinched a playoff berth, and they were the New Orleans Saints. On Sunday, the Saints, sans Drew Brees, dispatched of the rival Atlanta Falcons by the score of 21-16. Not only did they clinch a spot in the playoffs for the fourth-consecutive season, but they managed to sweep the lowly Falcons for the season.

It’s always a great feeling to defeat a rival, let alone sweep them. Saints running back Alvin Kamara was feeling great after the victory, and he expressed his joy on Twitter without using a single word. Instead, he used a broom emoji to rile up Falcons fans around the nation.

Saints feeling great after disposing of Atlanta

We mean this as no disrespect to the Falcons, but we guarantee the Saints are more proud of their sweep over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Come on, the Buccaneers have Tom Brady leading the offense!

After said sweep, the Saints playoff prospects appeared to have taken a hit after Brees went down with rib fractures against the San Francisco 49ers. Head coach Sean Payton pivoted to Taysom Hill over Jameis Winston to start, which was met with plenty of ridicule. However, it’s worked out thus far. Yet, the main detriment was that Kamara’s role became diminished. Well, until Sunday anyway.

Kamara rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, while catching two passes for nine yards against Atlanta’s defense. Additionally, Hill threw his first two touchdown passes of his career, where he completed 27-of-37 of his attempts for 232 yards.

The Saints have now ensured they will play football this January, but they’ll use their final four games to determine what seed they get. New Orleans has already swept two division rivals, and you best believe they’ll be looking to defeat the Carolina Panthers for the second time this season in Week 17.
