Floyd Mayweather opens as -5000 favorite over Logan Paul

The first lines have been released for the much-talked-about exhibition between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul. Mayweather has opened as a -5000 favorite, with Paul opening as at +1500.

BetOnline has given official odds for the fight and they are as follows.

These numbers mean that you would have to bet $5000 on Mayweather to earn $100, and betting $100 on Paul to pull off the upset would bring home $1500 if he were successful.

Besides releasing odds for either fighter winning outright, they released odds for various different prop bets as well.

First to bleed

Mayweather: +300

Paul: -500

Will Paul be knocked down?

Yes: -175

No: +135

Will the fight go the distance?

Yes: -200

No: +150

The most interesting thing you can bet on is which fighter will bleed first. For this prop bet, Mayweather is listed at +300, with Paul listed at -500. Considering Mayweather has rarely bled during his entire professional career, you may be better off placing your money on another bet.

Despite the fight being an exhibition, oddsmakers appear to believe that Paul will indeed touch the canvas, as he is listed at -175 to get knocked down, and +135 to stay on his feet the entire fight. He may have boxed KSI – but he has never been hit by a professional fighter before, and it makes sense why he would be expected to be knocked down at least once.

The final bet you can place involving this fight is if it will go the distance. The oddsmakers seem to believe that Mayweather will show restraint in the ring, as the odds are -200 for both men to hear the final bell.

If you feel that despite the fight being an exhibition, Floyd will press the action and look for a knockout (a la his previous exhibition against Tenshin Nasukawa), then you will likely jump on the +150 odds for the fight to end early.

There are plenty of options for fans to choose from when it comes to betting on this event, and there will likely be even more gambling options as we get closer to fight night on Feb. 20.
