Paul Pogba is likely going to leave Manchester United soon.

While Manchester United fans had visions of Premier League titles dancing in their heads after Paul Pogba left Italy to return to his boyhood club, they’ve instead been left with an often-injured midfielder that hasn’t been able to totally eliminate some systemic issues with the structure of the club. Rather than sticking around for the long haul, Pogba will likely try to leave Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and United as soon as he can.

According to Mino Raiola, Pogba’s agent, the Frenchman’s time at Manchester United is “over” after an uneven last two seasons epitomized by a lack of trophies.

Paul Pogba has been great with Manchester United, but injuries have slowed him down

Pogba started his career with the Red Devils, but it wasn’t until a move to Juventus in 2012 that he finally hit the ground running. One of the most complete midfielders in the game due to his thunderous shot power and quality defense, Pogba won Serie A three times before returning to United as, at the time, the most expensive transfer in the history of world soccer.

Pogba has played 170 games with United, scoring 34 times. While the 2018-19 season, in which he netted 17 times, showed how dynamic he can be, he hasn’t been able to match that production, as injuries have limited him to just 35 games and three goals over the last two seasons.

Even with all of the injuries that he has picked up over the last few years, he is still one of the best midfielders in the world, as the English media has often used him as a scapegoat that is blamed for problems at United beyond his control. He might not go for a world-record fee, but any team looking for a box-to-box midfielder should try to call United and work out a deal for the France international.
