Jackson He found the endzone for ASU against Arizona, becoming the first Chinese-born player in FBS history to score a touchdown.

It was only five years ago that Jackson He started playing football. On Friday, he made history.

As the ASU demolished Arizona, the walk-on running back came in and scored the final touchdown of the night for the Sun Devils.

The score made it 70-0 and made He the first-ever Chinese player to score a touchdown in college football.

He finished with four carries for seven yards and his very meaningful touchdown. The redshirt junior will hope there is more to come.

His journey from Shoaquan, China to ASU was certainly unexpected. He came to the states in high school and was recruited to his high school football team as an offensive lineman because of his size. When they figured out he was quick too, they moved him to running back, he’s been toting the rock ever since. He walked onto ASU’s team earlier this year.

Jackson He helped ASU pile on their rival Arizona

It was a great night to be Jackson He, but also a Sun Devil in general. This year’s Territorial Cup was being fought by two teams without a win between them, but ASU proved they were superior from the very beginning.

D.J. Taylor returned the opening kick off 100 yards for a touchdown. Less than a minute later DeaMonte Trayanum scored a four-yard touchdown to capitalize on an Arizona fumble. Later in the first quarter, quarterback Jayden Daniels dashed for a 20-yard score.

The second quarter wasn’t any better for the Wildcats. Rashaad White broke loose on a 93-yard touchdown run, then Daniels hit Ricky Pearsall for a 31-yard touchdown pass and Daniyel Gnata made it 42-0 with five minutes to go before half time on a three-yard run.

Arizona’s first six drives included a fumble, an interception, a turnover on downs, another fumble, a third fumble and another turnover on downs.
