Georgia football’s offense will be explosive with JT Daniels throwing to George Pickens in 2021.

JT Daniels has established an early rapport with George Pickens that should excite Georgia football fans ahead of what could be a special 2021 season for the dynamic duo.

It took until late November for it to materialize, but the Georgia Bulldogs have a vertical passing game worth watching. The Dawgs have not had a deep-ball passer the caliber of Daniels since Aaron Murray last starred for them in the mid-2010s. Pickens reminds Dawg Nation much of the receiving brilliance it saw a decade ago when A.J. Green played Between the Hedges.

Georgia can win the SEC East for the fourth time in five seasons in 2021

Though Georgia had its College Football Playoff dreams eliminated in the brutal road loss to the arch-rival Florida Gators down in Jacksonville, the Dawgs will make it to their fourth straight New Year’s Six bowl under head coach Kirby Smart. It may have been a down year for the Dawgs, but they still will end up being one of the top 10 teams in the country when all is said and done.

With Georgia having only a home date vs. the Vanderbilt Commodores and a likely New Year’s Six bowl left for 2020, Dawg Nation turns its attention to 2021. Next year is Georgia football’s favorite year and has been so for over going on 40 seasons now. Though Daniels can turn pro after his redshirt sophomore season if he wants to, expect him to be back in 2021 alongside Pickens.

In Georgia’s 49-14 blowout victory over the Missouri Tigers, the connection between Daniels and Pickens could not have been more obvious. Daniels completed 16-of-27 passes for 299 yards, three touchdowns and no picks before giving way to Stetson Bennett IV. Pickens had five catches for 126 yards and two incredible touchdowns. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken must love this.

As will head coach Kirby Smart. Georgia’s archaic passing game is the biggest reason the Dawgs have not won a national title yet under Smart. This is arguably the best program in the country to not win it all yet under the current playoff format. However, when you have a five-star quarterback throwing to a five-star wide receiver with this kind of precession, good things happen.

As long as Daniels does not declare for the NFL Draft, Georgia is in the mix to win it all in 2021.
