Can the LSU Tigers play spoiler when they take on the Florida Gators on Saturday?

Whenever LSU and Florida face off, fans across the country are treated to a back-and-forth affair. The same case may not be on the way come Saturday night, with the Tigers and Gators set to meet in Gainesville.

It’s been a bit of a down year for the Tigers, who enter Saturday 3-5 after going a perfect 15-0 last campaign and winning the national title. Florida is in the middle of a brilliant season and can’t afford to suffer an upset loss if they want to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive.

How to watch and bet on LSU vs. Florida

Date: Saturday, Dec. 12
Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
Location: Gainesville, FL
Venue: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium
Betting Odds: Florida-23, O/U: 67
TV Info: ESPN
Live Stream: SportSurge

Florida enters the tilt as monster 23-point favorites. You’d figure that’d be the case with LSU in a down year and the fact that Kyle Trask is looking like one of the best quarterbacks in the country. The senior leads the nation with his 38 passing touchdowns, while he’s second with 3,242 yards.

The Tigers are going to have their hands full trying to contain Trask from going off against them. Because of Florida’s incredible offense, we think the Gators will cruise to a lopsided victory and cover the 23-point spread. As for the over/under, we don’t think LSU will score enough for it to hit, which is why we’re taking the under for this SEC matchup.
