How did LSU football pick off this pass from Heisman Trophy hopeful Kyle Trask?
The LSU Tigers had presumably no chance to upset the No. 6 Florida Gators in The Swamp on Saturday night. Then again, this is a major rivalry game for both schools. Florida may take control of the game as it goes on, but this improbable interception by Jay Ward of Trask has to be one of the nuttiest plays you will have seen all college football season. How did he come up with this?

These are the type of lucky plays you need to pull off a major upset
Florida was within striking distance of tying the game up at 14 points apiece. Trask attempted a pass that would have made it goal-to-go for the Gators. He targeted wide receiver Kadarius Toney, who was falling out of bounds on the play. Toney was able to get a hand on it, but the ball deflected into LSU defensive back Dwight McGlothern’s helmet and then into Ward’s hands.
The LSU offense could not capitalize on the unbelievable interception, as the Bayou Bengals went three-and-out on the ensuing possession. Florida would cut into the deficit by way of a field goal when the Gators got the ball back. At the very least, Ward’s crazy pick of Trask kept the Gators from likely tying the game up. It could be a game-changing play for an LSU team playing spoiler.
You will not see a crazier interception than this one all football season long.
