Sarah Fuller makes history as the first woman to score in a Power 5 college football game.

Vanderbilt football kicker Sarah Fuller accomplished something that had never happened before.

In the Vanderbilt Commodore’s in-state rivalry game vs. the Tennessee Volunteers, Fuller was asked to attempt the PAT following a Ken Seals’ touchdown pass to Cam Johnson. It may have only been an extra point, but it is one of the most significant in the history of sports. Fuller became the first woman to score a point for her team in the Power 5, as well as in the SEC. Here is the PAT.

Sarah Fuller will be the short-field kicker vs. Tennessee on Saturday

Fuller made history two weeks ago by being the first woman to play in a Power 5 game. She attempted the second-half kickoff in Vanderbilt’s shutout loss to the Missouri Tigers up in Columbia. With Vanderbilt having last weekend’s game vs. the Georgia Bulldogs postponed due to COVID, it was up in the air if Fuller would keep playing for the ‘Dores the rest of the season.

Here is how the college football media reacted to Fuller’s historic made PAT for Vanderbilt.

Fuller will serve as interim head coach Todd Fitch’s short-yardage field-goal kicker in the Tennessee game. She will not be attempting kickoffs or longer field goals, but should Vanderbilt hit pay dirt again or is in need of a chip-shot field goal, look for Fuller to add some more points kicking for the Commodores. This was a monumental day for women all over the world.

Will Fuller be able to add some more points before the end of Saturday’s game vs. Tennessee?
