After 15 weeks, the MVP race is between Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers. Albeit slightly, the latter may have emerged as a slight favorite.

In the 2020 FanSided NFL quarterback rankings — which go live here every Tuesday morning throughout the regular season — we use a weighted average of current and past performances, with the former meaning more than the latter.

Let’s get it going…

56. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cincinnati Bengals. Brandon Allen. QB. 32. player

2020 stats: 506 yards | 65.5 completion % | 3 TDs | 2 INTs | 6.0 YPA | 35.5 QBR

Last Week: 32

It’s Week 15, so let’s burn through the nonsense. Allen has been largely terrible with moments of mediocre play sprinkled in. He’s going to get crushed against Pittsburgh.

New York Jets. Sam Darnold. 31. 30. Pick Analysis. QB. player. Scouting Report

2020 stats: 1,560 yards | 58.4 completion % | 5 TDs | 9 INTs | 5.8 YPA | 36.5 QBR

Last Week: 30

Darnold is playing out the string for the soon-to-be 0-16 Jets. After this, he’ll finally get a chance to go elsewhere and maybe revive his career, but he certainly looks shattered.

30. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. QB. Philadelphia Eagles. Jalen Hurts. 54

2020 stats: 309 yards | 55.6 completion % | 2 TDs | 1 INTs | 6.9 YPA | 40.1 QBR

Last Week: NA

Hurts was great with his legs in the upset over the Saints, but only decent with his arm. Look at the chart, and you see only two passes with any length on them. He’s providing a spark, but through two games, nothing special in the passing game.

Pick Analysis. QB. Scouting Report. San Francisco 49ers. Nick Mullens. 29. player. 42

2020 stats: 2,218 yards | 65.5 completion % | 10 TDs | 10 INTs | 7.6 YPA | 43.3 QBR

Last Week: 25

Mullens turns the ball over way too much, which is what you can expect from a backup quarterback. Get pressure on him and it’s over. Still, he’s decent enough in his role, just not as a starter.

Pick Analysis. 28. player. 31. Scouting Report. QB. New York Giants. Daniel Jones

2020 stats: 2,462 yards | 62.6 completion % | 8 TDs | 9 INTs | 6.4 YPA | 64.0 QBR

Last Week: NA

Jones was under duress all day against Arizona, highlighted by Haason Reddick’s five sacks. Ultimately, the Giants need Jones to make some plays and whether it was his faultier the line’s on Sunday, it didn’t happen.

QB. Gardner Minshew. 27. 52. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Jacksonville Jaguars. player

2020 stats: 2,033 yards | 65.1 completion % | 14 TDs | 5 INTs | 6.8 YPA | 54.0 QBR

Last Week: NA

Minshew is back for the Jaguars after sitting behind the immortal duo of Jake Luton and Mike Glennon. Assuming Jacksonville takes Justin Fields in the draft, Minshew makes for an interesting bit of trade bait.

Denver Broncos. Drew Lock. 26. 45. Pick Analysis. QB. player. Scouting Report

2020 stats: 2,198 yards | 57.3 completion % | 13 TDs | 13 INTs | 6.8 YPA | 50.0 QBR

Last Week: 27

Lock finally had a good game, throwing four touchdowns without an interception in a win over Carolina. The Broncos are trying to figure out whether he deserves another year, and play like this will certainly helps cause.

Scouting Report. Taysom Hill. player. 15. Pick Analysis. QB. New Orleans Saints. 25

2020 stats: 920 yards | 72.3 completion % | 4 TDs | 2 INTs | 7.7 YPA | 55.7 QBR

Last Week: 22

The final line was good for Hill, but in reality, he was subpar against the Eagles. He failed to show for 100 yards in the first half, lost a key fumble in the fourth quarter and was scattershot at times. Hill hasn’t been atrocious, but New Orleans needs Drew Brees back.
