NFL DFS Bargain Bin: Week 15 Sunday Slates Quarterbacks

Jared Goff, LAR vs. NYJ ($6,300-DK/$7,800-FD)

It’s no secret Rams coach Sean McVay likes to lean on the run whenever the matchup allows, but he hasn’t been hesitant to unleash Goff when the situation has called for it this season. That led to a recent stretch where Goff exceeded 300 yards in four of five games, as well as 51- and 61- attempt tallies for the fifth-year signal-caller. Week 15 shapes up as another potential high-volume day for Goff, considering the drastic splits versus the pass and run the Jets defense has displayed this season.

New York is now allowing an AFC-high 286.8 passing yards per game, the second-highest figure in the league overall. Gang Green is also yielding the highest completion percentage in the NFL (71.05) and is tied with the Lions for the second-highest yards per attempt surrendered (7.7). In contrast, the Jets are giving up the fourth-fewest adjusted line yards per carry (3.61) and also rank in the top 10 in second-level yards allowed and stuffed rate. It all adds up to a potentially busy day for Goff, who’s crossed 20 DK and FD points on five occasions this season and could well be headed for a sixth-such tally.

Jalen Hurts, PHI at ARI ($5,900-DK/$6,900-FD)

Hurts got the attention of the NFL world in Week 14, helping lead an upset of the Saints in his first NFL start and making significant contributions with over 100 rushing yards and a passing touchdown. The rookie will naturally have some bumps in the road as he continues to acclimate, and the Cardinals are certainly a talented enough defense to make matters occasionally difficult. However, Hurts is still priced very reasonably, giving him an excellent chance of paying off his salaries largely based on sheer athleticism alone.

Arizona’s defenders do face Kyler Murray in practice daily, yet that hasn’t really made them any better at limiting running quarterbacks. In fact, the Cardinals come in having allowed the seventh-most rushing yards to quarterbacks (316) and a robust 5.5 yards per carry to the position. Then, the Cards have been exponentially more generous against the pass at home as compared to the road, giving up a bloated 277.3 passing yards per contest at State Farm Stadium, a massive uptick from the 180.0 per road tilt they’ve allowed. Arizona has also yielded a 68.6 percent completion rate on its home field, and the 19.1 DK/18.4 FD points per game they’ve facilitated to signal-callers overall certainly makes Hurts a very strong fantasy-point-per-dollar play.
