NFL DFS Bargain Bin: Week 15 Sunday Slates Tight Ends

Mark Andrews, BAL vs. JAX ($5,500-DK/$6,800-FD)

It’s unusual to see Andrews priced so reasonably, making the prospects of jumping on the talented tight end in either cash games or tournaments especially appealing. Andrews is fully recovered from his recent bout with COVID-19, with the 25-year-old corroborating his good health by posting a solid 5-78 line on six targets in the wild Monday night victory over the Browns. Andrews now draws a matchup against a Jaguars team that’s been vulnerable to the tight end position all season in the form of a 52-633-10 line, with the touchdown figure tying with the Chargers for the second highest in the NFL allowed to TEs.

That’s led to the Jags yielding 13.7 DK/11.6 FD points per game to the position, while the 12.2 yards per grab Jacksonville facilitates to tight ends is a near-perfect match for Andrews’ 12.4 yards per catch and elevated 10.2 aDOT. Andrews’ long list of positive fantasy attributes also includes 61.5 air yards per game, 24.6 percent share of the Ravens’ air yards, 20.4 percent allotment of the team’s targets, and 12 red-zone targets on the season, making him an excellent play at his salaries and matchup.

Rob Gronkowski, TB at ATL ($4,200-DK/$6,300-FD)

Gronkowski has admittedly been difficult to get handle on for fantasy purposes in his comeback 2020 season, as his involvement in the Buccaneers passing game has fluctuated. It isn’t difficult to see why when considering the embarrassment of riches Tampa Bay enjoys at the pass-catching positions, but given that he’s still priced very affordably, Gronk seems to have that risk element factored into his salaries. It’s also worth noting the Falcons have funneled plenty of action to tight ends all season, having facilitated seven targets per game to the position on the way to allowing a 73-723-9 line.

Gronk has proven he can still motor downfield effectively on multiple occasions this season, having recorded eight receptions (out of 38 overall) of more than 20 yards, including two over 40. The multi-time Pro Bowler has also logged 14 red-zone targets and has recorded double-digit fantasy points on both DK and FD in five of his last eight games. While all tight ends not named Travis Kelce have some risk attached, Gronkowski’s salaries mitigate a lot of that in a matchup in which the Bucs are likely to lean toward the pass due to the Falcons’ very strong work against the run.
