The Saints and Seahawks are among the NFL’s best bets this week.

There are just two weeks left in the NFL regular season and a lot of playoff spots are still up for grabs. Some teams have plenty to play for in Week 16 while others are getting ready to book their tee times, making it a tough challenge to determine a squad’s motivation around Christmas week.

Figuring out that motivation factor is the key in this week’s five best bets, where we will attempt to give you the top wagers to make against the spread this week. All odds referenced in this story are provided courtesy of the FanDuel Sportsbook.

5. NFL Week 16 best bets: Washington Football Team -1.5

The Football Team’s chances of winning the NFC East took a bit of a hit thanks to a loss to Seattle, but the good news was they didn’t really lose much ground. The Giants lost badly to Cleveland on Sunday night, allowing Washington to maintain a one-game lead over both New York and Dallas, with the Football Team holding the tiebreaker over the latter via a head-to-head sweep.

This week sees Washington favored by just 1.5 points against the Panthers, who are playing hard but were officially eliminated from playoff contention last week. The Football Team is at home and has a stout defense, which should allow them to win and cover the number even if Alex Smith needs another week to return from injury.

Laying a point and a half with Washington is a no-brainer since they really need this game to win the division and are at home. Buy this number before a call is made on Smith and reap the dividends since his health could bump the spread up past a field goal.
