A sneak peek at the uniforms the Ohio State Buckeyes will wear when they face the Clemson Tigers in the Sugar Bowl.

The 2020 college football season will go down as the weirdest in history. Playing in the middle of a global pandemic will create chaos for sure. Despite only playing in five games this season, Ohio State Buckeyes managed to win the Big 10 championship against Northwestern, and clinched the third seed in the College Football Playoff, where they’ll face Clemson in the Sugar Bowl.

With the big game just days away, Ohio State football’s official Twitter account unveiled the uniforms they’ll be wearing in New Orleans, La. Buckeyes fans will love the choice, as they’ll be wearing their white jerseys with gray shoulder stripes.

Ohio State looking to replicate their 2015 magic

These uniforms are a familiar site for Ohio State fans, as the football team wore these in the 2015 Sugar Bowl, where they defeated the top-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide 42-35. Ohio State moved onto the CFP National Championship Game, where they trounced the Oregon Ducks 42-20.

Of course, this year’s Sugar Bowl will be a revenge game for the Buckeyes, as they fell to the Tigers 29-23 in the Fiesta Bowl and were eliminated from the Playoff as a result.

The Buckeyes hope that bringing back these uniforms will lead to the success the program had back in 2015. We’ll find out on New Year’s Day.
