If you feel as though Frank Gore has been playing in the NFL for your entire life, that claim may very well be factual. Week 17 will mark the final game of his 16th season in the league, and it may also perhaps be the last contest the Hall of Fame running back plays in.

Therefore, that is why Gore is a go this week in fantasy football. The New York Jets will travel to New England to play in a game with zero playoff implications for either club. In fact, both teams will be ending their seasons when the clock hits zero.

So, basically, in a game with little importance, Gore could get a ton of carries in what could be his NFL farewell.

Gore has had a few solid games this year, and his running style makes it hard for teams to really nullify him. He is a downhill runner who fights for those extra yards. In Week 15, he carried the ball 23 times for 59 yards and one score. Over two weeks from Week 11 to 12, he totaled 135 yards on 33 carries for one rushing touchdown.

On the New England side of things, this is a defense that was tasked with playing without key starters for the entire season. And now, another important piece, Stephon Gilmore, is out. Therefore, running backs have been able to be effective as rushers against the Pats this year.

Gore likely will get around 20 carries if he can, and you would have to imagine the veteran gets any red zone calls the team may have. This could be a high-volume day for Gore.
