College football media reacts to Georgia’s last-second Peach Bowl win vs. Cincinnati
Georgia got a last-second field goal to beat Cincinnati in the Peach Bowl.
Cincinnati controlled Georgia for most of the Peach Bowl but it was Kirby Smart‘s Bulldogs prevailing with the win after drilling a 54-yard field goal with two seconds left.
The undefeated Bearcats had many chances to put away Georgia but too many turnovers and penalties and a missed opportunity to bleed the clock and win the game in the final two minutes opened the door for JT Daniels to lead a last-minute comeback.
And he did just that after the Bearcats were unable to convert on a third down and Desmond Ridder threw an incomplete pass that stopped the clock and left the Bulldogs with two seconds to steal the game.
Jack Podlesny had ice in his veins and nailed the kick.
