2020 NFL playoffs TV schedule, time and dates

The NFL officially announced the playoff schedule for Wild Card weekend.

The NFL’s postseason schedule is officially set for Wild Card weekend after an interesting Week 17. The expanded postseason field means that we are in store for a tripleheader of playoff games next weekend, including the first playoff game for the Cleveland Browns since 2002.

The news was dropped in the first half of the Sunday Night Football game between Washington and Philadelphia that will decide the NFC East title. A win by the Football Team means they are the NFC’s No. 4 seed, while a loss gives that game to the New York Giants.

Here’s the slate, starting with Saturday’s tripleheader.

NFL Wild Card Saturday schedule

Indianapolis Colts (11-5) at Buffalo Bills (13-3) — 1:05 p.m. ET on CBS

The weekend kicks off in Buffalo as the Bills will host their first playoff game since the mid-90s against the Colts. Josh Allen has closed the season hot and it looks like Buffalo may be the biggest threat to Kansas City in the AFC.

Los Angeles Rams (10-6) at Seattle Seahawks (12-4) — 4:40 p.m. ET on FOX

This is the third meeting of the season between these NFC West rivals, with each team scoring wins on their home field. The key to this game will be if Jared Goff is able to recover from thumb surgery in time to play the game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11-5) at NFC East Winner — 8:15 p.m. ET on NBC

Tom Brady’s first playoff game as a Buccaneer will come in either Washington or New York in primetime. Tampa Bay will be heavily favored to top the NFC East’s sub-.500 champion.

NFL Wild Card Sunday schedule

Baltimore Ravens (11-5) at Tennessee Titans (11-5) — 1:05 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC

Sunday’s action kicks off with a rematch of last season’s playoff showdown where the Ravens were upset at home by the Titans. Baltimore is surging and will look to return the favor against Tennessee’s abysmal defense.

Chicago Bears (8-8) at New Orleans Saints (12-4) — 4:40 p.m. ET on CBS/Nickelodeon/Amazon Prime

This game will be the matchup the NFL simulcasts on Nickelodeon to try and promote the sport to young kids. The timing is beneficial for the Saints, who could get Alvin Kamara back from the COVID list in time for the matchup.

Cleveland Browns (11-5) at Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4) — 8:15 p.m. ET on NBC/Peacock

Wild Card weekend wraps up with a rematch of this Week 17 matchup, which Cleveland won to get into the playoffs. Ben Roethlisberger will actually play in this game, which, along with the change in venue, should significantly help the Steelers.

The Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs are off thanks to first-round byes. The timing of their first playoff games on Divisional Weekend is still forthcoming from the NFL.
