The Green Bay Packers might have the turnover celebration of the season, and it came at the expense of the Chicago Bears.

Even though the Green Bay Packers clinched the NFC North title weeks ago, their regular-season finale was far from meaningless. If they were to win in Week 17, they would not only clinch the top seed in the playoffs, but also have the chance to eliminate the rival Chicago Bears from playoff contention (depending on the result of Cardinals-Rams). And to say the Packers were motivated is a massive understatement.

In the second quarter, Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky threw a short pass to rookie tight end Cole Kmet, only for him to fumble the ball after getting hit by Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander. Linebacker Rashan Gary would recover the fumble and led the team in arguably the best celebration of the season.

Packers chugging along to the top seed

The celebration is fitting, because the Packers defense is acting like a locomotive and plowing through the Bears.

If there’s nothing a defense loves more, it’s their offense putting points on the board. Luckily for them, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was slicing and dicing the Bears defense. In the first half, Rodgers completed all 10 of his pass attempts for 155 yards and three touchdowns. And this is without stud left tackle David Bakhtiari playing due to a knee injury suffered in practice this week.

If this first half proved anything, it’s that the Packers may be the team to beat in the NFC.
