Ohio State football Twitter savagely trolls Michigan over Jim Harbaugh extension
By Mike Luciano
Ohio State found some humor in Michigan bringing Jim Harbaugh back.
Not only did Urban Meyer and Ryan Day turn Ohio State into one of the premier programs in the country once again, but they did so while bulldozing the rest of the Big Ten, with Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines often ending up as a splat mark on the Buckeyes’ windshield. With Michigan prepared to run it back with Harbaugh on a new, five-year contract, the Buckeyes couldn’t contain their excitement.
After it was made public that Harbaugh intends to sign a five-year contract extension to remain at Michigan, the Buckeyes Twitter account “liked” a tweet containing that news. When called out for it, OSU replied with a smug image of running back Trey Sermon giggling at the camera during the Sugar Bowl.
Ohio State has had their way with Jim Harbaugh so far
One of the biggest marks against Harbaugh during his time in Ann Arbor is his poor performance against elite programs, with his disappointments against the Buckeyes serving as his biggest wart. Despite being ranked in four of his five matchups against Ohio State, Harbaugh has yet to beat them. Some of his losses include Dwayne Haskins putting up 62 points on what was allegedly the best defense in the country and a 42-13 loss in Ann Arbor.
No one is doubting the fact that Harbaugh can inject new live into a program that is on life support. However, he needs to start proving that he can win big games, starting with taking down the Buckeyes. Based on what their social media accounts think, it doesn’t seem like the Buckeyes are quaking in their boots.
