The Steelers have concerns at positions beyond quarterback.

The Pittsburgh Steelers looked like Super Bowl favorites for much of the 2020 season, but they faded after an 11-0 start, with their performance down the stretch and the subsequent early exit from the playoffs revealing plenty of issues for a team that had been in the conversation as the best in the NFL.

An offseason of questions around the future of veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is surely on the horizon for the Steelers following a campaign in which their offense was limited by his lack of mobility and inability to push the ball downfield with consistent success.

Barring a very aggressive trade from Pittsburgh, the Steelers are unlikely to be in a position to land Roethlisberger’s long-term replacement in the draft.

Instead, the Steelers may look to address a string of other issues, chief among them a lack of a threat in the running game that was all too prevalent throughout an ultimately disappointing campaign.

A significant potential departure on the front seven could force the Steelers to add a pass rusher in the early rounds of the draft to ensure a formidable defense continues to strike fear into hearts of opposing quarterbacks and offensive linemen.

The offensive line is an area where the Steelers might also remodel, with a shrinking salary cap a concern that may motivate Pittsburgh to get younger in the trenches.

As the Steelers come to terms with a painful playoff loss, we look at three players they should target in the draft who can help make sure the 2021 campaign ends with Pittsburgh going deeper into the postseason.
