Per ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans could try and work a blockbuster deal featuring Deshaun Watson and Tua Tagovailoa.
Just when you thought things couldn’t be getting any more hectic for the Houston Texans, ESPN insider Chris Mortensen just dropped a bomb on Twitter. Per Mortensen’s sources, things have gotten so bad between the Houston Texans and Deshaun Watson, the superstar signal-caller may indeed push to be traded.
Not only that, Mortensen’s sources tell him that Watson would be open to a move to Miami, and the Dolphins could potentially package a deal including Tua Tagovailoa to get it done. What in the world?
Sources say Watson could play hardball with Texans about a trade. His new $156 million contract includes a no-trade clause but informed speculation from a source is that he would consider the @MiamiDolphins in which Tua Tagovailoa and additional compensation goes to Houston.

The Miami Dolphins trading for Deshaun Watson would set the NFL on fire
Per Mortensen, Watson’s anger with the Texans has only skyrocketed in recent days. A new report surfaced stating that team owner Cal McNair basically went rogue in hiring a new general manager, which hurt Watson because he was told he’d have a voice in the decision making. That of course wasn’t the case.
That’s not all, as Watson has a long list of items that have really discouraged him with the team. This isn’t good for Houston supporters.
Reports about Deshaun Watson's unhappiness with @HoustonTexans are accurate and sources close to the QB say he is still angry about team's insensitivity to social justice, including hiring practices, after the franchise failed to interview Chiefs OC Eric Bienemy this past week.

As things stand, it’s looking more and more likely that Watson could actually end up asking the organization to trade him. If Houston does do that, they’d want some draft picks and a young quarterback to take over the offense. Miami could certainly offer Tagovailoa and a first-rounder, but that may not be enough.
If Watson leaves town, Houston fans may boycott attending games in 2021 as a protest. Watson is no question a fan favorite and is beloved by everyone in the city. McNair has some major damage control to do right now.
