Alabama’s DeVonta Smith put on a show in the first half of the National Championship Game, leaving the college football media speechless and in awe.

The first half of the National Championship Game was owned by Alabama’s DeVonta Smith.

The wide receiver was too much for Ohio State to handle. Whether he caught the ball behind the line of scrimmage or well behind the defense, there was just no answer.

By the time he caught his third touchdown of the game and crossed the 200-yard mark, the college football world was lost for words.

Having your jaw hanging on the floor was a common response to Smith’s outing. When you put a linebacker on the best receiver in college football, it may be the only response.

It’s almost like Ohio State didn’t realize what a weapon Smith was.

The third touchdown sure made people feel like the game was done.

Undoubtedly Smith’s performance was one of the greatest in title game history. And he’s still got a half to add to it.
