Legendary NFL head coach Dick Vermeil didn’t hold back with his latest comments going against Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Things appear to be a crossroads right now between Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans. Recent reports have stated that Watson is so upset with the front office, he could end up asking to be traded away to a new team.

While countless Texans fans are in his corner, not everyone thinks Watson has the right to be upset. Just ask former Kansas City Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil. In a recent interview with TMZ, Vermeil blasted the quarterback and basically said he’s acting like a big baby.

Dick Vermeil called out Deshaun Watson for how he’s handling his troubles with the Texans

If Watson was upset before, you better believe he’s fuming after seeing what Vermeil had to say. Were these jabs really necessary? Saying Watson needed his diapers changed really seemed unfair, especially since he’s the franchise quarterback.

When team owner Cal McNair told Watson that he’d be part of the process in hiring a new general manager and head coach, Watson surely trusted his word. How was he supposed to feel when McNair ignored the recommendations of the search firm that was hired and ran off to a make a GM hire all on his own?

For now, Texans fans are simply going to have to wait and see how things shape out with Watson. Certain trade scenarios, including a packing feature Tua Tagovailoa to Houston, have already been floated around.

Watson clearly loves Houston and its fans, but if things get to a point where he’s had enough, he very well could demand a trade. Vermeil blasting him and calling him a baby certainly isn’t helping anyone, though.
