The Buffalo Bills quarterback arguably pulled off the flop of the year against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Buffalo Bills are one week removed from their historic win against the Indianapolis Colts in the Wild Card Round. Their grand prize was a matchup against the Lamar Jackson-led Baltimore Ravens in front of their beloved Bills Mafia.

Not a lot happened in the first quarter, but the Bills found themselves in favorable territory after a 23-yard punt by Sam Koch. On the second play of their drive, quarterback Josh Allen threw away a pass after getting pressured by Ravens linebacker Justin Madubuike. As he threw the incomplete pass, Madubuike lightly pushed Allen, who sold it like got shot by a cannon and drew the roughing the passer penalty. Ladies and gentlemen, we have our flop of the year.

As is the case with any flop, social media roasted the Bills signal caller.

The flop was all for naught

You have to give Allen credit, he sold it like most professional soccer stars and NBA players do. While everyone in Buffalo surely loved it, those who root for the Ravens were livid.

If there’s one thing the Ravens can take solace in, it’s that the Bills were unable to capitalize on the roughing the passer penalty. On the following three plays, Allen only managed to muster a one-yard completion running back Devin Singletary. The Bills would settle for a 28-yard field goal by rookie kicker Tyler Bass to give them a 3-0 lead.

Allen is a star on the rise, but he definitely lost out on some popularity points in the state of Maryland. Seriously, Allen needs to be nominated for Best Actor in next year’s Academy Awards.

Next. Fans still can't believe the Packers wasted a draft pick on Jordan Love. dark
