To start, quarterback Patrick Mahomes was able to return to practice on Wednesday, albeit in a limited fashion. After he want down on Sunday with his concussion, Kansas City fans were worried sick he’d be out this weekend. Right now, things are looking good for his chances to face the Bills.

Getting Mahomes back on the practice field is one thing, but the fact that Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Sammy Watkins and others were able to suit up on Wednesday is massive news. With Edwards-Helaire, we haven’t seen him in action since he suffered his hip and ankle injuries against the New Orleans Saints on Dec. 20.

While Le’Veon Bell and Darrel Williams have filled in admirably, Edwards-Helaire adds a whole new different element for the offense. His ability to run the pigskin and catch the ball out of the backfield makes him a spectacular player.

As for Mahomes, he’s been in the concussion protocol, but you know he’s going to do everything possible to take the field on Sunday with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. Kansas City is hoping to repeat as champions, and they’re the favorites to win it all early next month. This latest injury news from the practice field will surely increase their chances of doing so.

Latest Patrick Mahomes update should give Chiefs fans hope. dark. Next
