Top 4 transfer destinations for former Tennessee football star Henry To’o To’o
Tennessee transfer Henry To’o To’o has heavy hitters among his top four.
Henry To’o To’o has narrowed his list after entering the transfer portal Wednesday afternoon. His top four consists of Alabama, Michigan, USC and Georgia, according to 247Sports.
To’o To’o was Tennessee’s best linebacker in his two seasons, recording 148 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, 1.5 sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery in that span. He follows an exodus of players that have entered the portal since the end of the season, spiked recently by the firing of head coach Jeremy Pruitt.
The former four-star linebacker became a 2019 SEC Freshman All-American named to the SEC All-Freshman Team by the coaches.
What sticks out on film about To’o To’o is his speed and ability to shoot the gaps to take down the ball carrier. He’s excellent in run support and can rush the passer well. He has good recognition skills that help him figure out plays appropriately.
Henry To’o To’o has what it takes to become a top linebacker in the country.
According to 247Sports’ Chris Hummer, Alabama was in the mix for his services during his initial recruitment. Now that Dylan Moses is moving on to the NFL, he could fit into that inside linebacker role very nicely. USC is his home state school, having played for De La Salle High School in Concord, Calif., and he knows defensive quality control analyst Michael Hutchings, who played at De La Salle.
Michigan found themselves in play for the linebacker after not being in consideration the first time. Georgia is in because of the recruiting reputation they have built over the last few cycles and how well they develop the position for NFL success. There is no timetable for a decision yet, but whoever he decides to pick, that team will get a linebacker who is only scratching the surface of his potential.
