The Chicago Bulls mascot took the Bernie Sanders meme to new heights on Saturday.

Since Wednesday, social media feeds have been flooded by the now famous Bernie Sanders meme. During the inauguration of Joe Biden, the 46th President of the United States, people saw the senator of Vermont sitting in a chair, arms crossed and bundled up with a winter coat, face mask and mittens. As soon as Sanders was shown on camera, everyone showed off their Photoshop skills to create some extraordinary memes.

But one NBA mascot might have topped any meme.

During the first quarter of Saturday’s game between the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers, Benny the Bull was shown sitting court-side with the same attire Senator Sanders wore during the inauguration!

Benny the Bull: Master of Memes?

All Benny is asking for is more points. Is that too high of a demand for the Bulls’ beloved mascot? Apparently it was.

At that point of the contest, the Bulls were down 27-14 to the LeBron James and Anthony Davis-led Lakers and Benny looked less than pleased. Things didn’t get much better for Chicago, as Los Angeles pulled away to a 63-33 lead at halftime. Barring a tremendous second-half comeback, the Bulls are looking at their ninth loss of the season.

It’s okay, Benny. The Bulls might not win this game, but you definitely won the internet with your social media awareness!
