Ohio State hits the road to take on Wisconsin in a huge Big Ten battle.

The Big Ten is undoubtedly America’s deepest conference and could send at least 10 teams to the NCAA Tournament. Getting a high seed is certainly possible with the amount of quality wins available to be had, with matchups like today’s game between Ohio State and Wisconsin offering an opportunity to make a statement.

The Buckeyes had a three-game winning streak snapped earlier this week when they lost a disappointing home game against Purdue by two points. All four of Ohio State’s losses have come in conference play, leaving them with a 5-4 record inside the Big Ten.

The player to watch here for the Buckeyes is junior guard Duane Washington Jr, who leads the team in scoring and dropped 21 points in the loss to the Boilermakers. Washington will need to put up another big effort to counter a deep Wisconsin team in their own building.

The Badgers have bounced back nicely from a rough loss to Michigan by winning two straight games, including a 68-52 victory over Northwestern earlier this week. Forward Tyler Wahl led a well-balanced Wisconsin offensive attack with 14 points as the Badgers controlled the tempo, making their performance against the Wildcats almost surgical in terms of precision.

This is a marquee matchup for the Badgers, who have already scored victories over three ranked opponents this season. Adding a fourth with this contest against the Buckeyes could give Wisconsin a strong argument for a spot on the top line in the NCAA Tournament.
