College basketball fans turned to social media to wonder what is wrong with Kansas following a loss to Oklahoma.

The Kansas Jayhawks are poised to see a drop in their national ranking next week. The No. 9 team in the country has now lost three straight after the Oklahoma Sooners had a huge second half to take home a 75-68 win in the rivalry game.

The game was also one of revenge for the Sooners, who lost to the Jayhawks earlier this season. But it has been three straight losses for Kansas since then and fans in Norman couldn’t be happier.

A huge win for Oklahoma and another head-scratcher for Kansas

Kansas now has four conference losses this season and all have been by at least five points. Meanwhile, the Sooners improved to 5-3 in conference play with a showdown against Texas next up on the schedule.

Kansas always has high expectations under Bill Self. Now the team has to avoid completely unraveling after a third straight loss. The Jayhawks are still 10-5 on the season and should not be panicking.

The positive story from this outcome is obviously on the Oklahoma side. The Sooners are 9-4 and should jump into the national rankings. Their next three games are all against ranked opponents and a win over Texas on Tuesday would have Big 12 fans wondering if Oklahoma poses the biggest threat to Baylor in the conference.

A third straight loss should have Self making changes to ensure he can keep his team on track. This is a unique college basketball season and a loss on the road should not make the sky fall for his program.

However, it is clear they are rattled and a loss Thursday against TCU would have social media blowing up about the Jayhawks.
