Marvin Wilson, IDL, Florida State

Previously seen as a potential first-round pick going into the 2020 season, Wilson did not take the chance to cement that status in the six games he played for the Seminoles this past campaign.

Having registered 8.5 tackles for loss and five sacks in 2019, Wilson’s production dropped to a pair of TFLs and one sack, meaning he heads to Mobile perhaps needing to restore his prior reputation.

Alabama’s Christian Barmore probably has the DT1 title locked up after a dominant end to the season likely secured his place as a first-round selection in what is an underwhelming interior defensive line class.

But the lack of strength in depth at the position this year means Wilson can vault himself back into the conversation as a fringe first-round or early day-two pick by impressing the scouts in attendance next week.

And he certainly has the talent to do so. At his best, Wilson is an athletic force who excels with a combination of quickness and hand usage that allows him to serve as a disruptive force up the middle.

He might not be able to bridge the gap to Barmore, but Wilson could put himself in a position to be one of the next interior defenders off the board by harnessing those qualities in Mobile.
