JaVale McGee provided an amazing highlight in an otherwise forgettable game for the Cavaliers on Sunday.

The Cleveland Cavaliers had quite the start to last week. They had two straight wins over the Brooklyn Nets and headed to Boston on Sunday ready to pull off another upset.

That did not happen as the Celtics blew out the Cavs by a final of 141-103. This turned the attention to finding positives and JaVale McGee gave Cavs fans something to smile about with an amazing sequence that ended with a dunk.

JaVale McGee shows off all his skills

The 2020-21 season has been a fun one for McGee and this entire Cavs team. He has pushed himself into the forefront of trade talks because of his play and has proven to be a key piece on this young Cleveland team. However, he is bound to be traded as the Cavs continue the final stages of a rebuilding phase.

McGee finished Sunday’s game with 11 points in 15 minutes of play. But this one highlight shows off his newfound abilities when given the opportunity to show what he can do. Him choosing to go coast-to-coast last season with the Los Angeles Lakers may have gotten him benched or at least started down.

Another great thing about his monstrous dunk following his between-the-legs move is the way his teammates reacted. The Cavs were getting smoked, but the bench remained engaged and kept fighting even with the huge deficit. They reacted to the play like it had just taken the lead late in the game. That type of mentality is why the Cavs are fighting for a playoff spot early in the season.
