National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 3 will end the 2021 recruiting period but where will the top 10 unsigned recruits commit to?

College football recruiting was different than ever before throughout 2020 as it was another monkey wrench thrown into the process by the COVID-19 pandemic. Visits were limited and, simply, coaches weren’t able to do as much as they once were. However, the initial expectation was that we could see many recruits wait until National Signing Day on Feb. 3 to make their decisions.

For the most part, though, that hasn’t happened. Only nine players in the top 300 of the 247Sports Composite rankings are uncommitted at this point. Moreover, we’ve already seen the Alabama Crimson Tide’s class become the highest-rated recruiting class of all time, surpassing the 2010 Florida Gators.

Still, that leaves some drama for National Signing Day as programs try to secure a strong class and, as always, avoid any big flips. With that, we’re going to dive into the top 10 unsigned recruits and predict where they’re going to commit.

Note: All team recruiting rankings and player recruiting rankings refer to the 247Sports Composite.

10. Titus Mokiao-Atimalala, ATH, 4-star

Prediction: Nebraska Cornhuskers

Of the top 10 unsigned recruits leading up to National Signing Day, Titus Mokiao-Atimalala is by far the lowest-rated player in the bunch. Ranking outside of the top 300 (No. 303) and as only the No. 18 athlete in the class, he’s not exactly highly touted. Yet, he’s a player with the versatility that could help a program on both sides of the ball.

The Ewa Beach, HI native showcased playmaking ability on offense and defense in high school, emerging as a deep threat and a RAC monster when given the chances while also making plays on the back end when lining up at safety. His athlete designation should allow him to simply play wherever he best fits for whichever school he signs with.

Coming into National Signing Day, Mokiao-Atimalala has 21 offers ranging from Hawaii to USC to Nebraska with many of those teams seemingly still in the running. Thus, making a prediction is a shot in the dark but I’m willing to hitch my wagon to the Nebraska Cornhuskers and say they land this playmaker.

Scott Frost arrived at his alma mater with the promise of getting them on track to returning to glory. For that to transpire, they need to find diamonds in the rough on a national level. Mokiao-Atimalala is that exact type of player who can play two key roles for them depending on what they need. Given that, they’ll make a strong late push and bring him from Hawaii to the fields of corn.
